Style Inspiration: The Denim Overall Dress + Fishing on the Lake

You’re probably thinking, “Denim overall dress? Since when?!” I know… They’re back! And this is one of those trends that could be tricky to pull off over a certain age, but I love them.

This weekend, we celebrated my dad’s birthday with an afternoon out on the lake. He lives for fishing, it’s just an amazing time for all of us. I knew we were going to get dirty. So I figured this would be the perfect moment to pull out something casual and chill for the day. Plus, we ended up helping my parents in the garden. It worked out great!

Get the Look: A chic button-down gives it a more grown up feel. Just roll up the sleeves for a relaxed look. This was such an easy, fun weekend outfit. Love this for an afternoon of lunch or shopping too. Just switch out the shoes for white sneakers or cute mule sandals.

Note: Originally wore red-colored mules. But Mom insisted on something more lake-friendly. These black sandals were hers:)
