Style Inspiration: Checking Off the Bucket List
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!! I’m still rewinding our morning. We realize the day isn’t just about gifts. But as parents, you kind of live for these moments. Ayden’s such an easy kid–he’s never really asked for anything. However, this year was different. Long story… But he got exactly what he wanted, and his reaction nearly brought me to tears. The immense joy! The rest of the presents could have been left unopened. It was priceless.
These past few days have been filled with fun, family time. Yesterday, we headed to Pasadena for dim sum and to check out some floats for the Rose Parade. We’ve talked about doing it for some time–now it’s off the list. What an experience that was! Parents, if you’re in the LA area, be sure to take the kids. The amount of volunteers and work that goes into completing these floats is amazing. You know we took a ton of photos, but don’t want to spoil it for you. It’ll be fun to see the finished product on New Year’s Day.
Of course, in between all the excitement, we stopped for pics. This style inspiration is all about down time with the family.
Get the Look: Edgy chic. In post holiday staples: denim, leather jacket, sneakers, and a great bucket bag. These are off-duty musts. I’ve been wearing a lot of sweaters lately–especially the turtleneck. The relaxed fit of this style makes it perfect for leggings too. It’s super soft and currently on sale at LOFT. For casual days like this, nothing’s more magic than a sneaker denim combo. These Vans are beyond comfortable and so affordable. But I think my favorite part of this look is the bag. I will give all credit to hubs for finding me the perfect gift. Love this gorgeous bag by AllSaints. It’s a bit larger than what I’ve been carrying, but not too overwhelming for my frame. The details…
Okay, we’ll have something for NYE soon! Please be sure to check back.
