Style Inspiration: Pink Candy Coated Coats
First, I’d like to apologize to all reading from snowy winter territory… I realize open-toe sandals would be completely out of the question right now, but temps in Cali are warming up. So heels it is.
Today, we’re talking about a cold weather favorite: the pink coat. Typically, anything soft and pastel would be reserved for spring. How great is it that we don’t have to wait? Bonus, it’s also a nice compliment to not-so-tan winter skin.
The Look: I can’t tell you how excited I am to be wearing a coat this season. It’s one of the things I look forward to this time of year. This style is the perfect weight–not too heavy, and the faux fur collar is such a cozy detail. The oversized design is also perfect for layering with thick tops. I went with an easy grey sweatshirt for a casual afternoon. Slim crop jeans are cuffed to highlight ankle straps. I’ve restyled one of my fave colorblock heels for this outfit. And brought back my leopard clutch because clearly, I’m obsessed with the print.
Note: ZARA coat runs small. Try one size up from your usual. Alternative shoe options: pumps or slip-on sneakers.
